Look DIE! DIE! DIE! (NZ) are just creative monsters. They work hard, make music, tour like tomorrow depended on it and they just put out edgy cool shit.
If you feel like you are in a room lacking of any true thinkers then maybe you should get a piece of A4 paper, write something on it then stick it on the wall. Hopefully it says “Shut the fuck up Hipster Wannabeez” then leave making really loud bee buzzing noises. People will respect you for it. Or you could upload a video of Shane Warne bowling in reverse with the sound of a seagull flying into a window and send it to the internet.
Just do something!
New Zealand’s DIE! DIE! DIE! have released their long-awaited long player FORM in Australia. So to celebrate the occasion they will be smashing brains across the country over the coming 2 weeks.
If you’ve missed that weird ringing in your ear sensation, then please make way to your nearest ticket outlet and snap up some DIE! DIE! DIE! love for you and a friend.
Not many young bands these days have the power to give you a lesson in punk realness. DIE! DIE! DIE!, when displayed in the rawest of its FORM (duh! pun) is a band that can.

We came across Mica’s art during a game of ‘I’m stoned and on the internet at 3 am’. Her art shot out from the screen, a style which pushes free sexual expression with animals prancing around in pools of colour. There may be some deeper messages within her work, but the tongue in cheek element makes way for the viewer make up their own mind. A nice balance really.
Originally from the U.S.A, she is currently living in Windy Wellington, New Zealand. The concept of an American living in New Zealand is an intriguing one. Serj Tankin (lead singer of System of a Down) lives there, Anthony Kiedis (Red Hot Chili Peppers) once lived there, but then sold his property because it was too far a commute from his mansion in L.A. Is it to escape the big smoke? or does N.Z provide a more wholesome community vibe that most of us tend to crave these days, because we’re all living in concrete boxes without backyards? It’s definitely alot greener and cleaner than most places on earth.
Where would we be without the drums? Without drums we’d be living in a world of folk music. God love old skool Bob Dylan, but it would be a hard proposition for most. Who would be holding down the beat? What about rocking out and slam dancing? The thought sends a tear to the eye.
Mikey is a legend. He rocks one of the tightest and original sounding drum styles in noise punk music today. His band, the much-loved kiwi three-piece DIE! DIE! DIE! is defiantly leading the charge, reprezenting and taking their sound to a new higher level.
It feels like the next DIE! DIE! DIE! record FORM is going to be something special. This video is definitely a strong move forward for this New Zealand based 3 piece. They are touring their homeland in July and rumours are they will be heading to Australia soon.
Great use of ideas from the people in the trees, the animation, the bridge. This band isn’t afraid to push their creativity and it definitely shows. Even the production is great. The song has great stereo quality, but it’s still DIE! DIE! DIE! just fanging out as usual.
It’s very rare these days when a band can make you feel lucky to be alive. Real Talent!
These guys rule!! Kids need to look to this band and get re-inspired. The soft music that is ravaging this Country and raping (alternative?) radio is a real worry. We need more punk rock (it’s a broad term) music on the airwaves, otherwise thought-provoking lyrics, reckless dancing and actually sweating at a gig will become a past time. Lets hope not.
