Just had this drop on our desk, brand new music by The Go Roll Your Bones. Check out new song FATHERS, rock out and be grateful that real music still exists in this town. These cats know how to write songs that cut a little deeper. They are making music that would be celebrated if they were from the USA or the UK, but instead they exist amongst a music industry who are guilty for polishing three-minute turds which are made intentionally to enslave the blind and sleepy masses.
No offence, we’re sure he’s a nice guy and he makes nice songs, but is Matt Corby really the music we are all looking at for todays young? There’s a revolution going on outside our window! Wake up kids you’re all trippin, spill your drinks on yourselves! go apeshit! don’t be polite! make mistakes and listen to fuckin punk rock music while you’re young!
This is great music from one of this towns most hard-hitting rock n roll bands who deserve to be way more than just a Triple J Unearthed hit pick at 2am, how can they live with themselves? Come on Triple J we dare you to prove us wrong! these guys need to be the next big thing in this Country!
FATHERS is taken from the forthcoming 4 track EP#2 which was recorded by Chris Rollans and mixed by one of our favourite new local producers Wade Kerighan (Wolf & Cub/ex Scare). This is the best sounding locally made track we’ve heard this year so far.
Blow your ears out and nod your heads, The Go Roll Your Bones are way better than all of the bands they’re tellin you to like.

This event has been put together to raise money for the RED CROSS. So we’ll be donating all funds to RED CROSS AUSTRALIA, JAPAN and NEW ZEALAND. MY SYDNEY RIOT & THE ANNANDALE HOTEL PRESENTS JAPAN, QUEENSLAND, CHRISTCHURCH RED CROSS APPEAL
With the recent disasters happening in Japan, Queensland and Christchurch, we realise how lucky we are to be alive. My Sydney Riot and The Annandale Hotel joined forces to put on a gig to help raise some money for our brothers and sisters who are going through hard times. Joining the Party are Goons of Doom, The Bungalows, Royal Chant, The Go Roll Your Bones, Mylee Grace, Lime Cordiale, The Crying Skies, Dusty Duets and Dead Gang. We’re also having a Special Art Exhibition of rare works donated by some of Sydney’s most talented artists which will be sold to help the cause. So come down early on Anzac/Easter Saturday 23rd April and help us party while raising some much-needed funds for The Red Cross!! Yew! Kicks off from 6pm. Donations from $5.

Amazing lineup this week at Phoenix…
One of our favourite bands in Australia, Sydney band THE GO ROLL YOUR BONES launch their debut EP. We’ve heard a few of the tracks and this band belong on the main stage at the Big Day Out. They’d easily do justice opening for QUEENS OF THE STONEAGE or any band that has a hard heavy beat and swagger.
They will be supported by a great cast of local talent; ZEAHORSE, DARK BELLS and SPIRIT VALLEY (also featuring Fait Accompli drummer Mr Stabback).
Entry is $10. So get down there early. Things kick off from 8pm.

MY SYDNEY RIOT are having a HALLOWEEN PARTY. We were sitting around with some of our buddies and we decided to put on a Party. Why? We’re bad ass at puttin on Parties and we wanted to invite some of our favourite bands around to make us deaf. To be honest we just want to throw a party and have a good time with our friends.
So if you’re free pop over for a good time. Come as a Monster or come as yourself. And bring some art to hang up on a tree if you’re an arty type of person.
Party starts from 3pm noon and will go into the late night.
