EX TALONS, CHRISTIAN J BEST RELEASES FIRST DEMO WITH NEW BAND SCARY AREA
Ex Talons front man Christian J Best got the hell out Sydney and migrated all the way to Baltimore, Maryland in the USA. There’s no better way to cement an end of a band than a migration overseas.
After a bit of silence Christian has returned with his brand new band SCARY AREA alongside Meredith McHugh who also made the journey across the sea from Brisbane. They have a brand new blog and a demo, Galoots.
If you’re in Sydney today you’ll probably appreciate this new piece of music for its wintery and rainy vibe. You just want to look out the window at Deer while sipping on a cup of cocoa while the fireplace is warming the cabin. It’s alot quieter than the usual output we’re used to from Christian (check Talons here), but a nice change of colour for the seasons.
Anyway we miss people like Christian in this shitty town. Where did all the punk rockers go?
A great man trapped in a hole who once said “I’m doin ok, just send more music”. Keep it coming.

Christian Best is a prominent character on the Sydney music scene. He is a smiley guy, plays a mean screaming guitar and is a young living legend. He also has lungs to match those of Beastie Boy Mike D and all members of Black Lips in a screamathon and still come out on top.
